Ah, Spring… When Horrible Race Photos Blossom (via Runner’s World)

April 8, 2011

Happy Friday! I just ran across this article from Runner’s World, “Ah, Spring… When Horrible Race Photos Blossom.” Check it out here, it’s worth a good chuckle. And, in case you missed it, Toni and I had a little Facebook/Twitter beef a few weeks ago. It all started when she posted a less than flattering picture of me, and I retaliated with a very less than flattering picture of her as my Facebook profile. I’ve decided to share our pics with you guys so you can have a good laugh at our expense. This may be a trend and Toni and I will have to keep a collection of all of the bad race pictures as a reminder of the hard work we put in to “Preserve the Sexy!” Enjoy your weekend!

Hills, Hills and More Hills: A Recap of the Publix GA Half

March 27, 2011

Thanks to this lady who helped me finish!

Chowing Down Before the Race
Let me preface this race re-cap by saying that I completed about 85-90% of the training for the half. I won’t make excuses, but let’s just say that I paid for it on the course. Let me know also say that this was my first half marathon. My nerves (and stomach) started being uncooperative as soon as my husband and I landed in Atlanta. However, it wasn’t just the half marathon that had me feeling “unsettled’. It was was everything. I’m a worry-wort by nature, so if there was anything I could worry about, I worried about it. BGR! Runs Georgia – Update

March 9, 2011

Black Girls RUN! Performance Tee – “Georgia Edition” ***PRE-SALE*** (Again)

March 1, 2011

Due to the overwhelming demand for our new performance tee, we decided to do an additional run. Visit our online store to get your BGR! performance tee. But be warned, there is only a small quantity available. Just like the others, they will available for shipping the week of March 7 (if not earlier).

We appreciate everyone’s support and we are amped that everyone is as excited about these tees as we are.

While we’re here, we’d like to address a few questions about the tees.

Why is it named “Georgia Edition”? What about the other 49 states?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (and maybe you have) we’re running the Publix Georgia Half Marathon in March. We thought we’d commemorate our first race as a group by naming it after the great state of Georgia. But never fear you other 49 states, we may be coming to your state soon.

Do they fit true to size?

You can view a sizing chart here.

Are the tees dry fit? (made out of wicking material)

Yes!

Will these shirts be produced in pink or white?

You never can say. Ashley and I are tee (and hoodie fanatics). We chose black because 1.) in doesn’t show sweat or dirt , 2.) we feel sexy in black tees. Honestly, we’re not fans of white or light colored tees, but if our readers demand them, we will produce them.

Why do you order limited quantities?

We don’t order a ton of product because we don’t want to have an overstock of tees. The sooner we sell out, the sooner we can have other designs produced. We have a whole notebook of designs we want to create, so we like to sell out of tees and hoodies as quick as possible.

Until next time…..

Preserve the sexy,

Toni & Ashley
