Having the right deodorant is just as important as wearing the right bra or running shoes. How many times have you tried a deodorant and it just didn’t smell right on you? Choosing the deodorant can be a trial-and-error process or a love-hate relationship. You may love a certain deodorant brand at first, and then hate it after a workout.
It’s extremely important to know that there are certain brands of deodorant may not work with your body chemistry. Weird right?
One way to determine if you should to use a certain brand is to see how you perspire and smell on a day-to-day basis and during and after a workout. If you perspire pretty easy, you may want to use brands like Secret, Suave, or Dove that have clinical protection products. If you find yourself just needing to get a regular deodorant that contains no scent in it like Tom’s. Whichever you choose, make sure it is an antiperspirant deodorant. Antiperspirant is just a fancy way to say it keeps the sweat away.
As women, our bodies go through lots of changes which can cause our body scents to change which is why it’s important to find the deodorant that works best with your body chemistry.

This could not have come at a better time, especially since I just had my first baby (and noticed that my smell changed during my pregnancy). I have to stay away from the aluminum and other icky things. Other recommendations?
I alternate between Secret and Dove. They seem to hold me well. And I sweat easily since I’ve got a little older.
I had to do a lot of trial and error with deodorants.. and finally found Mitchum PowerGel!! It holds me all-day through both jobs and my workout
I have been using Mitchum PowerGel since a pre-teen and it has never fallen short, even during my PH changes during and immediately after pregnancy. Highly recommended.
