Where do I meet to join a run in Baton Rouge
Hi I was just watching one of your spokeswoman on Kdka Pittsburgh I consider myself some what athletic african american and would love to join your running group. I would also like to include my 14 year old daughter who is over weight but wants to become more and lead a healthier lifestyle. I understand the Pittsburgh marathon is sold out for 2014; but I would love to train with you women and possibly be apart of the 2015 marathon? Please e-mail me back I would love to be part of black girls run.
I found the Venus Factor to be very effective. I finished the whole twelve weeks and reached my weight loss goal and I am still using it to maintain my weight. So I think I can give an unbiased opinion! The program covers a lot. It includes workout schedules, instructional videos, meal plans and as well as lots of information about leptin, good and bad foods and much more in the manuals. The main manual is about 180 pages long! Then you have the apps such podcasts and the Virtual nutritionist, which manages your calories and measures up your ideal weight and sets goals for you to get there. You enter into the program your details, your goals, your measurements, meal preferences and workout intensity and out pops your menu with times when to eat and calories. For example it may say eat 1700 calories and then you find the 1700 calorie meal plans, so you don’t need to count calories (so tedious!) The exercise program is also excellent, with exercises specifically for women, and done three times a week for about 45 minutes each. I had never done any weights before so I’m honestly surprised that I liked it. It’s up to you what intensity you’d like. I prefer low impact. There are lots of instructional videos on all the exercises. I lost a lot of weight and feel much better about myself, that’s what’s important!
