Thanksgiving is a week away and we have so many things and people to be thankful for. Besides friends and family, I’m particularly thankful for those individuals who have influenced my running lifestyle and keep me jazzed about hitting the pavement
People always ask how I stay inspired to run and I have a few people to thank. My biggest fan has been my husband. He’s only missed one race and he’s constantly helping me find ways to improve my running game.
I also have to thank my favorite running buddies turned best friends Farriah and Zoe. These girls keep running light, fun and interesting. Without Black Girls RUN! I would have never met these two and I’m so grateful our paths crossed. Not only are they notorious for a little positive peer pressure, their genuine friendships helps keep me grounded and they are the sisters I’ve never had.
HOW IT WORKS
1.) We want you to nominate a person (male or female) that has inspired you to run happy. Did they serve as a great example? Did they run your first race with you? Do they always wait for you at the finish line? Tell us why you are thankful for them.
3.) We will choose the most inspiring story and gift your nominee with a pair of Brooks running shoes of their choice! We will also share your story on the Black Girls RUN! website!
