The time is finally here!
Black Girls RUN! and AARP are proud to officially announce that registration for the Black Girls RUN! /Drive to End Hunger 5K/10K in Atlanta, GA, on September 14 -16, 2012 is open! However, for the next 72 hours registration is open to BGR! MEMBERS ONLY (You can register until September 11, 2012)! We are giving exclusive access to members to register first before the official race announcement to the public.
The weekend opens Friday, September 14, 2012 with a Preserve the Sexy mixer at 7:00 pm. Saturday, September 15 is BGR!’s National Conference, filled with workshops and learning opportunities to provide women with tools and resources to help them live a healthy and active lifestyle. Take a yoga class for runners with prAna, and pick up BGR! apparel, and a host of other necessities to meet your running needs.

On Sunday, September 16, registrants will participate in the Black Girls RUN! /Drive to End Hunger 5K or 10K kicking off at the gorgeous Centennial Olympic Park.
Don’t forget to make your reservations at our host hotel! All events take place at the beautiful Sheraton Atlanta Hotel. The Black Girls RUN! rate is just $109 (subject to taxes) and is available from September 11-19, 2012 in case you want to make it a long weekend. Room reservations are now open also. It’s been a long time coming so thank you so much for your patience! We can’t wait to see you in Atlanta in September!

No, there is not.
I’ve been looking for a good reason to make a trip to Atlanta. This has to be it!! I can’t think of a better one!! I’m definitely going to try to make arrangements to be there. Thanks BGR! <3

The Honors Dinner is our Pre-Race Pasta Dinner, and we will also be recognizing special volunteers/groups of Black Girls RUN!.
