My fitness goal for 2013 is to be consistent. I workout sporatically, eat right sometimes, but I am constantly stressing about weight gain and hypertension. No mas! I have to be consistent and make taking care of myself a LIFESTYLE change, not something I do on occasion.
I’m motivated by life itself. There are still things I want to do/see. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle doesn’t guarantee me more time, but it sure makes the odds look better. and I have 18 nieces and nephews that I want to be able to keep up with.
I love to run/walk, do strength training, and just keep it moving because I strive to be healthy! At 27 I was pre-hypertensive, pre-diabetic, my “good cholesterol” was low, and my “bad cholesterol was high… I just didn’t feel “right”. Since then I’ve been on a journey to a healthier me. Being introduced to Black Girls Run has really motivated me to keep moving. I love the sisters they are kind and welcoming – no intimidation at all. Now I plan to do 5 x 5 k’s, build my endurance, motivate others and introduce a healthier diet for 2013.
My goal for 2013 is 1) to run 1000 miles and 2) to run my first marathon!
My goals are to run a 5k and 10k this year and decrease my body fat percentage to 19%.
I’m planning to run my first full marathon this year!
my goal is to run 50 plus 2 race miles this year to honor my mom’s memory. she gave birth 50 years ago to twin girls (me and my sister.)
My goal is to become more health conscious. By eating better, drinking more water, and continuing to train to come a successful runner. Hopefully these small steps will develope into habits that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Healthy lifestyle this 2013. It is running is good to our health and I encourage my family to join….
Last year, thanks to BGR!, I did my first 5k. As a matter of fact, I did 10 of them. Working out helped to improve my health and I am even off some of my meds. This year I want to complete a half marathon.
My fitness goal for 2013, is to be healthy, happy, and stress free. What makes me get out and run Is the camaraderie that we as a group of women have. We are trend setters, and not only that, we are doing something that is positive for our community, and good for our body. Being healthy and active is important to me because it helps with my state of mind, and the health benefits, plus who does not want to look fly!
Well I lost 24 lbs of fat and kicked some medication in 2012. For 2013, I want to help others achieve their goals because giving back is the key. My sister and I are working towards our first “Sisters of Fitness” photo shot in May 2013 so I am working on definition and we are working on a fitness clothing line that hopefully will be completed by the 2nd BGR Run in the ATL so that we can be vendors. BGR has been a life saver… Literally! Thanks ladies!
My 2013 Fitness goals are to run my first half and full marathons and to build my muscle strength! Oh, and add to that healthier eating!
My fitness goal is to run one 5k per month. My first one January 19.
My goal is to make exercise and fitness a priority in my life. I want to be as committed to my health as I am to other less important matters. Most importantly I want to encourage others to take a closer look at their health and fitness levels. We all can move in some capacity and I want women to know its never too late to take charge of their bodies. Let’s get moving!
My goal is to run my first half marathon without any injury. Wll also be tackling my first 15k and 10 mile races. Now to keep up the strength training and yoga which always slide in favor of miles.
My goal is to add cross training to my workout at least twice a week. I will run two half marathons, one this spring and one this winter. Overall just a healthier me, to not run is not an option!
My 2013 goal is to run 1000 miles and at least two half marathons. I also want to do a lot of strength training this year and over all just train properly so my running is not in vain. Running has always been a main love in my life.
My health and fitness goals for 2013 are to be consistent. I will do great for three weeks with exercise and eating. Bam then I get off track for four weeks. I am tired of starting over. So I know what I need to do and how to do it. I will do it.
My goal for 2013 is to be the best person that I can be, which mean taking care of myself and being health. Since April 2012, I began to focus more on running and have lost 32 pounds. When I first started the C25K, it was a struggle. I looked at it as a chore but now it has become a beautiful part of my life. I will be 52 next month, and for most of my adult life, I have focused on everyone accept me. Running allows me to do something for myself. I use that time to clear my mind of any negativity and from the stress of the day. Running helps me to not only be physically fit, but it plays a big part of me being mentally fit. I tell people I am running for my life but I am also running because it allows me to be free to be me.
My 2013 goal is a healthier ME all around through exercise and lifestyle changes! I am making a commitment to put the same enegy and time I put into everything else back into me. I want to be an example for my girls to make their health a priority because it will help make a better quality of life for them.
