Black Girls RUN! is painting the Nation pink and black in 2013 and we are coming to a city near you!
Black Girls RUN! is proud to announce its 2013 National Race Schedule. Members and supporters are encouraged to sign up for these races and conferences, and join the BGR! Nation as we continue to fight the obesity epidemic across our country.
“We’re excited to release our 2013 National race schedule,” said Ashley Hicks, co-founder of Black Girls RUN. “These events give our members an opportunity to meet and fellowship together, all while completing their first race or adding to their collection of ‘bling’. This year we focused on increasing our presence on the West as we will be adding several Black Girls RUN! groups along the coast in 2013.”
One of the highlights of our 2013 schedule is The Black Girls Run! “Preserve the Sexy Tour” (PTST). This tour will travel to U.S. cities in the “Stroke Belt,” which have some of the highest obesity rates in the country, to host one-day health and fitness clinics.

Way to go, talking about putting a stamp on promoting good health. So happy for this !!!!!
Yippee!
Can’t wait for the Black Girls Run in SanFrancisco! I have started my training by setting a goal to run 1 mile without stopping!
Thanks so much for a girls group that promotes heart healthy activity.
I’m so happy about this tour and the strides you are taking to promote running and a healthy lifestyle. But I’m super excited that Jackson, MS is on your tour. I’m from Hattiesburg, MS and a member of BGR New Orleans which is the closest group to MS. See ya’ll on May 11, 2013.
Is this a 5k? Also, Elisha, I’m in Jackson too. I’m excited this tour is coming to MS!
No, this is just a one day conference to get you prepared to running a 5k.
How do I sign up for the event in Birmingham??? Do I have to be a member of the Birmingham group to participate? I have clicked the icon to become a member of the Birmingham group. I haven’t had a response. I am in Panama City FL. There are no groups in my area. What do I do?
Very impressed with BGR and your mission. I read the Runner’s World article on the organization and shared it with my wife. I just registered her for the Nashville tour date. She’s looking forward to it.
.I’m so excited to have the P.T.S.T come to greenville ,sc ! I will soon be starting a in-home walking dvd to prepare for running ,however it would be nice to have partners.I still haven’t heard anything about a B.G.R group for my area yet.I was hoping that there would be one formed before the tour comes to our area!
‘
I will be traveling to Miami to run the half marathon on Jan. 27th. Hope to catch the clinic.
No DC date?
Such a great movement. I definitely will be joining you in
Greenville/Spartanburg. Ladies…make sure you bring your
girl friends! We can do this!
If we are a sponsor, where can we confirm addresses for shipments? Is there a phone number I could call?
